8:30am - With ATTTO representative, Dave Evans pick up participants and transport them to NMIT for a briefing. (Outcomes, expectations, health and safety and behaviour an explanation of ATTTO and an explanation of today’s focus… )
9:00am – NMIT Aviation Program. After a briefing about the day, Steve Holtum will then speak of the NMIT Aviation Civilian Program at base Woodbourne. Location: Aircraft training school.
9:45 – Air New Zealand – Blenheim Airport - Justine Lee holds a session explaining the career opportunities within Air New Zealand, the salary ranges, perks involved in the industry, their expectations on qualifications etc.
10:30 – Morning Tea At Blenheim Airport
10:45 – Safe Air -. Raewyn Heta – Career opportunities locally and overseas with Safe air and within the industry. Salary ranges, Expectations and Qualifications. Location: Reception
11:45 – Lunch – Hosted by RNZAF At Woodbourne Airman’s mess
12:15 – RNZAF -. Tremain Lucas takes us on a brief tour of the base. What it means to be a member of NZ’s armed forces. The Camaraderie, “Chain of command”, Training provided by RNZAF, Pathways, Salary ranges, Opportunities, Min/max Length of service, Civilian opportunities. Post RNZAF opportunities.
1:45 - Aviation Heritage Centre- Jane Orphan CEO of the Centre to provide a history of Aviation. The tour is courtesy of NMIT.
2:30 - Aero Club. Kevin Wilkey- Opportunities to meet with member(s) of the club. What membership is about. Training opportunities & Costs involved.
3:00 - ATTTO - With Dave Evans, the end of the day will be a debriefing on where to go from here. Explanation of what is available to the school leavers in order get into the Aviation industry.
3:15 – 3:30 - Drop participants back at pick up spot.
